Controls and interfaces
Find current rebindable keys and distinguish Gear, the cockpit, navigation, ship modules and handheld scanning.
These guides describe the October 23, 2026 development version. The older download with the same version number is missing later features.
Explanatory diagram based on the cited report; not an in-game interface or a spatial construction plan.

These bindings can be changed. HUD and books resolve live mappings, and conflict checks account for modifiers and context. U deliberately serves two actions. The README’s L Launch/Land and X pulse list predates the current source.
Screens serve different tasks
Gear is separate from armor and ship fitting. Life support appears in cockpit pods while seated. Navigation’s unknown planet traits require scanning; a map icon alone does not reveal them. Ship Panel handles cargo and fitting; interior consoles provide detailed sensor and room functions. The Survey Scanner is held-use equipment, not the cockpit M sweep or X scanner.
The Survey Log item stores knowledge that can be copied or merged. N discoveries/naming, research data and that item record serve different purposes. The Quest Log is server-backed and syncs ledger changes.
Client options cover SCREEN versus CHAT notifications, cockpit overlays, chase camera, rider pose and service markers. Generated User Guide, Pilot’s Manual and Admin Guide content can lag later source changes. Use configuration for the captured settings and travel for transition behavior.
