Choosing configuration and server scope
Find the generated config reference and understand per-world storage, generation locks and the limits of reload evidence.
These guides describe the October 23, 2026 development version. The older download with the same version number is missing later features.
Read defaults in their context
The report’s generated reference has 252 entries in 24 named files. Client files govern local presentation/input; server registrations can be per-world. The existence of a reference filename does not establish that it has already been generated in your installed save. Pack overrides are unknown.
The complete configuration table contains story-sensitive flags and is marked story spoilers, excluded from search. It keeps exact keys, defaults, numeric bounds, enum comments, units, file scope and PDF pages together. This public entry does not expose ending outcomes.
Restart and persistent state
The report did not uniformly establish hot-reload/restart behavior for every value. Its recommendation is a controlled server restart for generation, seeding and persistent locks. Existing planet terrain, civilization decisions and other SavedData can remain locked after a default changes; restarting is not a promise to regenerate old terrain.
For current default behavior see outbreak eligibility, habitat budgets, travel limits and universe storage. Avoid copying passenger-seat config defaults into the hull’s total-seat field.
No config was applied to a game or server during preparation. Use command reference for generated syntax; command execution is a different action from reading a setting.
