Controls and timed actions
Learn the few controls you will reach for under pressure. You can rebind them in Minecraft’s control settings.
Default controls
Mappings are rebindable. These are the report’s defaults.
| Input | Result |
|---|---|
| E | Afterfall character window in survival; creative keeps its inventory route |
| B / K | Health and body / skills |
| J / M | Journal, campaigns, story and death tracking / map and radio |
| U / V / O | Clothing and bags / vehicle dashboard / settlement manager |
| Hold G, then release over an option | Context interaction menu on a supported target |
| R / H / Y | Reload or jam clearing / weapon light / seatbelt |
| Hold attack at least 0.8 real seconds | Supported heavy melee attack, if stamina permits |
| TV full screen: Space, Left, Right | Pause/resume and seeking recorded media; Esc leaves full screen |
Finishing interrupted work
Supported actions retain progress per player and target for ten real minutes by default, including relogs. Moving or taking damage can interrupt them. Return to the same supported target and select the action again before retained progress expires.
The server rechecks reach, the target, supplies and permissions. It only pays the costs and applies the result when completion succeeds. Retained progress cannot stand in for a finished dressing, repair or delivered job.
Similar-looking actions
A sink, bath or sponge can offer different actions through use and G. Washing skin, laundering garments and rinsing a sponge change different state. Open hygiene and cleaning when the result differs from what you expected.
