Your first paid deliveries can help you get established. Check that you have unlocked the work and bring the full amount of plain materials.

Visual overview

Starter Work has three clocks. Explanatory diagram; complete rules follow.

Diagram of reported mechanics. The text retains the full conditions and settings.

Unlock and deliver

Starter Work opens after 20 verified play minutes at a Trade Counter or Job Board. Choose a task and deliver its full unit of plain materials; delivered goods are consumed. Each unit pays 25 by default, subject to funding, permissions and the shared public pay caps.

DeliveryOne unit consumesDefault pay
Stone delivery16 Cobblestone (accepted variants)25
Timber delivery8 Burnable logs (accepted variants)25
Fuel delivery4 Coal25
Copper delivery4 copper ingots (accepted variants)25

Defaults permit 3 units per task, 2 units per hour and 300 lifetime starter pay. The work permanently closes on reaching the lifetime pay cap, 24 play hours, or 30 wall-clock days since first join, whichever closes access first. These are three separate clocks/limits.

Check a refused delivery

Confirm the unlock time, remaining task units, hour limit, lifetime total and plain matching materials. Then check shared public funding: starter earnings consume the same indexed 100/hour and 500/24 civic uptime hours public-pay allowance as market sales. An empty purse in the applicable non-minting mode can refuse pay even when the task still has units.

Starter pay is excluded from the separate server earnings-tax base. It does not bypass public-pay caps. Check your wallet and items after completing a unit; ordinary delivery is not a promise of unlimited early money.

Continue after newcomer work

Sell eligible goods at the market or take posted jobs. Use the beginner path to choose a camp or town before paying for expansion. Administrator changes are listed under starter.* in the configuration reference.
