Exact build and responsibility
This reference describes watermedia-binaries-3.0.0.6.jar, mod ID watermedia_binaries, display name WaterMedia: Binaries. The original authors are SrRapero720 / WaterMedia Team. Its metadata requires WaterMedia >=3.0.0.22; the supplied pair uses 3.0.0.23.
The report counted 183 archive entries, 139 compiled classes and ten own-namespace classes under org/watermedia/binaries. Most other classes are bundled XZ support, not mod features. It found no data/ entries. Those are report findings, not an inventory independently repeated for this wiki.
FFmpeg families
All five native payloads report version.cfg 8.0.1-gpl. Each contains these seven FFmpeg/JNI family pairs. The major numbers below belong to versioned FFmpeg filenames; they are not inferred enabled-codec lists.
| Native family / Java bridge | Reported native major | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
avcodec / jniavcodec | 62 | Encoded audio/video codecs |
avformat / jniavformat | 62 | Containers and demuxing/muxing |
avutil / jniavutil | 60 | Shared media data and utilities |
avdevice / jniavdevice | 62 | Device-facing facilities |
avfilter / jniavfilter | 11 | Filters |
swresample / jniswresample | 6 | Audio sample conversion |
swscale / jniswscale | 9 | Pixel scaling and conversion |
Linux uses .so, macOS .dylib and Windows .dll naming. Presence of codec libraries does not prove which codecs were enabled, which a consuming mod exercises or which hardware acceleration paths work.
Platform extras
| Payload platform | Reported additional native members |
|---|---|
| Linux ARM64 | libasound.so.2, libbcm_host.so, libvchiq_arm.so, libvcos.so |
| Linux x86_64 | libdrm.so.2, libva-drm.so.2, libva.so.2 |
| macOS ARM64 | libatomic.1.dylib |
| macOS x86_64 | libatomic.1.dylib |
| Windows x86_64 | No additional platform-support family beyond FFmpeg/JNI and version.cfg. |
These are the extra members listed on PDF page 7 and the family summary from page 4. The report names source/native-payload.json as its full filename inventory, but that companion was not attached. This packet does not claim an exhaustive filename list or exact per-platform byte totals. The five supplied platform table rows and their rounded sizes are preserved separately in structured reference data.
Extraction and storage ownership
The loader bootstraps resolve directories and side. Clients choose libs/ffmpeg-%s.zip through the main library’s classifier, compare bundled/extracted versions, prepare files when needed and verify the version file. Matching versions can reuse a prepared copy. Server-side startup skips FFmpeg extraction; failed preparation records an FFmpeg failure.
The normal main-library temp root derives from Java’s temp directory, while loader bootstraps can pass other paths. The companion resolves ffmpeg, yt-dlp and botguard under the environment temp root. Use actual logs rather than a universal folder claim. These extracted program files and helper versions are not inventory, world, TV ownership, station schedule or quest saves.
The classifier can select the missing Windows ARM64 resource. Its generic Linux fallback for other OS names does not certify Linux-native compatibility there. Extraction, native load, helper execution and playback were not run by the report or by this wiki task.
Configuration and helpers
No separate Binaries TOML configuration class was identified among its own classes. Main-library WaterMediaConfig owns quality/decoder/cache/network behavior. Java properties watermedia.ytdlp.binary and watermedia.botguard.binary are optional executable overrides, absent unless set by the launcher/JVM. They are neither Minecraft commands nor verified TOML keys.
The providers use latest-release lookups and cached versions. yt-dlp calls SHA-256 verification when a release checksum is non-null; that conditional finding must not be generalized to every retrieval or to BotGuard. Cached fallback does not guarantee complete offline source playback. License notices do not establish executable payload presence on every platform.
Content and asset audit
No independent Minecraft items, blocks, recipes, mobs, worldgen, commands, keybind/menu, quests, story, economy or loot catalog was identified in the inventoried content and inspected bootstraps. Binaries does not create Afterfall’s TV/radio interfaces, packet routes or shared state. The audit concerns this build and inspected paths, rather than every extension a third party might provide.
pack.png is reported as the project icon. The report’s cover emblem is AI-generated branding artwork, not a chip item or gameplay screenshot. No JAR, native archive, helper executable, project icon or cover art is redistributed in this packet.
Reported fingerprint and verification limits
The report’s Binaries artifact fingerprint is:
2d9333061c3d2330033fe68837a31f546dbf58984455b0cfec0deeff6b1f121e
This is an attributed SHA-256 value from PDF page 11, not a new hash check. The file size is 143,725,808 bytes (137.07 MiB). Five-platform expanded member totals are 387,657,517 bytes (about 369.70 MiB), distinct from one selected archive’s roughly 51–93 MiB, disk allocation and runtime memory.
The report records completed artifact hashing, metadata/member/native inventories, declarations, selected native/helper bytecode and local consumer-source tracing. It did not run Minecraft, native extraction/load, helper download/execution, source fetch, playback, server/client sessions or performance tests. This wiki reviewed the PDFs and existing wiki pages; it did not independently inspect the underlying JARs/source.
Its future test plan calls for actual OS/JVM extraction and load tests; helper install/update/unavailable-metadata/cache/invalid-path cases; consuming-mod playback clients; repeated open/close and startup reuse. Record exact hashes, game/loader/Java, OS/JVM, archive/version, helper versions, source type, actions, logs and observed results. No proposed test is counted as passing runtime evidence.
